In the municipality of Zermatt, household waste must be placed in official rubbish bags or in a commercial waste container (both subject to a fee).

Location

In the compactor at public collection points or in commercial containers.

Remarks

Waste must be placed in an official orange rubbish bag (subject to a fee) before being disposed of. Fees for commercial containers are charged electronically per container.

Fees

The official orange rubbish bags and seals can be purchased at the checkouts of Migros, Coop, Denner and Pam stores. Rubbish bags can also be purchased individually. Additional points of sale for seals: Jumbo Transporte and CC Perren.
